Steve Jobs

Posted on 05:28 by Unknown
There's been a lot of talk since Jobs died about his passion for thinking differently, and how the "crazy ones" are actually the ones who move things forward and change the world.

I wish my life had been been filled with such enthusiasm for following the beat of my own drum, for ignoring status quo, all the while finding endless fascination in what each day might bring.

To aspire to boundless creativity and to throw off the shackles of corporate convention, and in the process improve the lives and experiences of hundreds of millions around the globe - truly a life well lived.

How many of us can say the same?

Ugh. More rain.

It's been so wet the last few weeks that I'm suffering from a bad case of trench-house.

Back to you, Chet.

Executions: The Company You Keep

Posted on 18:42 by Unknown
My mom always told me that if I hung out with the wrong crowd, eventually I'd be a victim of guilt by association.

Killing people must be different.

I'm Back - Maybe

Posted on 17:20 by Unknown
Sorry for the lengthy absence.

Life can be turned upside down without warning, and so it was for me. Maybe I'll tell you about it someday.

I'm going to try and regain my creativity, but until then, I'm just going to steal things from the Internets and slap them up here.

Please don't judge me too harshly.

Best NFL Mock Draft Pick Ever

Posted on 17:15 by Unknown
Matt Taibbi:

28. New England – HANK PUDSNIFFER, G, Northwestern Iowa School of Mines

Belichick rattles off at least one “What the fuck?” pick in every draft, where he spends a first or second-round choice on a guy who isn’t even in the CBS list of 1000 draft prospects; all you can find is one grainy YouTube video of the guy performing in an arm-wrestling contest on Croatian television. Note: I actually think the Pats end up with Mark Ingram somehow, but there’s a WTF pick in there somewhere, guaranteed.

Anonymous Targets Koch Brothers

Posted on 16:15 by Unknown
Well, this is pretty good news.

Anonymous, the notorious collective of unnamed Internet activists, is declaring war on the controversial Koch brothers. In a press release this weekend Anonymous accuses the brothers and their financial empire of attempting "to usurp American Democracy," and call for a "boycott all Koch Industries' paper products." Anonymous accuses the Koch brothers of taking "actions to undermine the legitimate political process in Wisconsin.

Just how interesting would it be to discover a link between the Westboro Baptist Church and the brothers Koch? Half of the organizations founded and/or supported by team Koch are simply flares and chaff ejected to divert attention from the mother ship as it continues on its path of capitalistic bullying.

Smart money is on Koch. Smart people make up Anonymous. Let the competition begin.

Internet Kill Switch Humor

Posted on 18:02 by Unknown
"Congress is proposing a bill that would give President Obama a kill switch that he could use to freeze all activity on the Internet if there were a national emergency. The kill switch goes by the top-secret name Microsoft Windows."

Bad Roomba

Posted on 19:24 by Unknown
What good does it do to have a robotic vacuum zipping back and forth the bedroom floor if it only drags dust clumps from sites unseen out into the open where I must take manual action or begin to resemble a house of crazy cat ladies?

Suck the dust and hair up and let it shoot out the back side in little twined bales that I can pick up with my remote control A-Team van, will ya?

Good automated cleaning robots are sooo hard to find.
